Ultrasonic teeth cleaning has no need for manual movement and doesn't make any sound which can put some dogs off. When used with the ultrasound toothpaste it creates nano bubbles. This kills bacteria in the mouth and penetrates deep into the gum line, where manual brushing can't reach! When the nano bubbles pop it also helps to break down the plaque/tartar.

 

A build up of tartar can cause a dogs gums to become inflamed and the gums can begin to detach, forming gum pockets. Once gums are inflamed or gum pockets have been created, bacteria can easily get into the blood stream! In advanced stages this can lead to periodontitis, which is a severe gum infection that can cause tooth loss and other serious health complications. These serious issues are irreversible, so its important to get on top of your dogs teeth before its too late!

Regular brushing and maintenance is required to keep your dogs mouth healthy. If your dog has a large build up of tartar, we would recommend to bring them in for initial sessions weekly until the build up is under control. Afterwards maintenance sessions can be booked in with your dog regular groom, to keep them free from future build ups and gums healthy!

Although we would all like to see pearly white teeth, the main aim of ultrasound teeth cleaning is to ensure the gums are kept healthy and prevent the build up of plaque
